Forum Rules

Introduction

This document outlines rules and guidelines to be followed when using the forums on http://www.subetahq.com. By using and maintaining an account on SubetaHQ, you hereby agree to abide by rules outlined below. Non-adherence to rules may result in warnings and/or bannings (which means you will not be able to access to site anymore). Multiple warnings will result in a banning.

Which forums do these rules apply to?

The rules apply to ALL forum posts and are not limited to thread titles, reply and posting bodies, external links, quotes and etc., but also include news comments, battle comments and other such areas of the site where user postings/comments can be made.

Rules and Guidelines

Please adhere to the following:

1. No cursing/swearing/foul language (or other such synonyms) is permitted. (However, within context or if seen as socially acceptable, it may be permitted e.g. "damn" or "hell" etc. are deemed acceptable)

2. Respect other users. This entails no defamation, no degradation and no offensive comments which include racial slurs discrimination of individuals and online groups/communities.

3. No inappropriate content is to be displayed, linked to or discussed. This includes adult content, racist or discriminatory sites (however, we will tolerate things such as "blonde" jokes etc.), offensive sites and other such illegal or deemed inappropriate sites (such as sites that may suggest how to make dangerous items, drugs, warez, torrents, software piracy, music piracy, hacking etc.). Please use your judgement and common sense to as what is and is not appropriate. If in doubt, ask a moderator or administrator first.

4. No spreading of misinformation/false information or other such information in order to gain an economic/competitive advantage is not permitted (some examples are: suggesting a weapon does more than it actually does in the "Trading" or "Battle!" board or stating an item is a rarity which it is not).

5. No trolling! Do not post comments or threads to provoke other users if the content does not have relevance or is distasteful.

6. Do not attempt to moderate yourself. This is what moderators/administrators are for.

7. Post in the correct forum. Do not post a topic not related to Subeta in the Subeta-related forums.

8. No referral links to other pet sites, money making sites or other such sites. However, if special circumstances permit, they may be allowed.

9. Warnings are not to be disputed and publicly spoken about (i.e. do not create new forum threads asking why you got a warning and that the site is stupid or this person did it for no reason).

10. No spamming/useless posts. FTPs, STPs (first to post, second to post etc.) and posts that do not positively contribute to a thread are examples of spam. Users in violation of this rule will have their messages removed and may possibly be warned. Also, do not regurgitate what has already been said. (For example, someone makes a new suggestion. Do not reply with "good idea" and leave it at that. You must add more to it, point out problems or improve it.) Please check the forum in which you are posting for similar topics before making another as duplicate topics fall are considered spam.

11. No gravedigging! Unless an old thread requires a new post, do not ressurect them. Doing so only creates meaningless spam which is likely to provoke more spam from other users.

12. Signature Limits. Signatures will be cleared if they are over 430px wide (well within the forum width) or 200px tall.

13. Topic Titles. When making a new thread, please ensure that it's title is relevant. Titles such as "Is there a..." are an example of a poor title. We ask users to be specific about their question to minimize the number of redundant/duplicate forum topics.

14. News Comments. We ask that all news comments be related to the HQ news posts. Please refrain from commenting about Subeta.org being down as those will be deleted.


Additional Information

The following need not be specifically adhered to but would be for the best interest of the user and the site. Please do not post:

-images of yourself on the forum. There are many legal and ethical issues today which are difficult to deal with and as such, we try to reduce any possibilities that a disaster is to occur.
-your home address, phone number, cell/mobile/hand phone number, facsimile, PO Box and etc.

It would be appreciated if the above need to be done, that it is to be done through http://www.subeta.org where you can utilise the sMail system.

Note: This document can and will be updated if necessary and the staff at SubetaHQ reserve the right to ban/warn your account if you breach any rule that is implemented in the future. Please make sure and check you are always familiar and up-to-date with these rules. You will be notified through news posts when rules have been changed.

Adherence to the above rules will ensure a safe, fun and happy environment with no bannings and/or warnings.
